Apple iPod has become synonymous with portable mp3 players and the iPod Nano is no exception. You can choose from 2, 4, 6 and 8 GB; we looked at the 4 GB Nano. This player is one of the top mini players on the market with its many features and the famous iPod design.
The iPod Nano offers all of the features to create a superb listening experience as well as storing pictures. As an added bonus you can have the back of your Nano custom engraved when you order.
The Nano doesn't have an FM tuner or recording features like the higher-ranked mini players.
Features:
The iPod Nano is equipped with 22 languages, games, a clock and a calendar feature that will track all of your important events. You can store up to 1,000 songs, shuffle, repeat and rate songs as well as play audiobooks. The Nano also has 20 equalizer settings, a sleep timer, and stopwatch.
You can upload photos and create slideshows accompanied by music. The Nano works with jpeg, bmp, gif, tiff, psd and png image formats. The Nano doesn't have an FM tuner and you can't make voice recordings.
Music Formats:
The iPod Nano supports four different file types: aac, mp3, wav and aiff. One of the best aspects of the iPod is you can access and download iTunes, one of top-rated music download sites and you don't need a Mac. You can download iTunes and music from a PC.
Battery Life:
With 14 hours of battery life, the iPod Nano will keep up with your busy life. The long battery life is great for travel and long road trips.
Physical Features:
The iPod Nano is a thin small copy of the iPod; it has a rectangular body with rounded edges, a clickwheel, hold switch and headphone jack on top. This player is a great fit for your hand, not too big and not too small, and comes in many colors. It also has a good backlight so you can easily see the screen in any situation.

We found Apple's customer support somewhat difficult to navigate. It's hard to find specific information and even harder to find the contact information. Apple does offer a service plan you can purchase.
